Mr. Emmanuel Amegavi Sosu is a visionary Linguistic Activist who has dedicated his efforts to advancing English-French bilingualism in Ghana. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, specialized in Public Relations, his journey is defined by a profound commitment to volunteerism and youth development.

Emmanuel’s passion for volunteerism has manifested through his active engagement across various platforms, notably within the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ghana. His leadership journey within JCI showcases his dedication, starting as the General Legal Counsel for JCI Dansoman and later ascending to the position of Local President for JCI Mccarthy Hill. Notably, he earned distinction as a Chaperone to Togolese football icon Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor during the prestigious 2017 Africa Lifetime Achievement Awards, underscoring his versatile abilities.

The inception of Français Pour Tous, an institution focused on English-French bilingual advocacy, stands as a testament to Emmanuel’s pioneering spirit. His impactful linguistic advocacy efforts have resonated with prominent figures, including Former President H.E John Agyakum Kufour, Former Minister Hon. Cecillia Abena Dapaah, and the Minister of Education Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adu-twum. His influence extends into educational reforms, where he contributed as a French Master Trainer during the Ministry of Education’s curriculum overhauls, such as the Standards-based curriculum and the Common Core Programme at the Primary and Junior High levels.

Emmanuel’s voice has reached international airwaves, having shared insights on Radio France International alongside the former Eastern Regional Minister Hon. Eric Kwakye Daffour. His thought leadership has found expression through compelling articles like “Ghana destined to become a bilingual state” and “The status of French in Ghana.”

A fervent advocate for youth development, Emmanuel has left an indelible mark in leadership roles. His tenure as the SRC President of the Christian Service University College – Kumasi and his pivotal roles as a vetting Panelist for the Private University Students’ Association of Ghana (PUSAG) and the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) underscore his dedication to shaping tomorrow’s leaders.
